Fever unveils immersive entertainment expansion across Brisbane
Global live-entertainment discovery platform Fever is accelerating its investment in the Sunshine State with the launch of more than 4,300m2 of new immersive entertainment space across Fortitude Valley and Brisbane Airport, positioning the city as a strategic gateway for international experiential concepts entering Australia.
The move signals strong confidence in Brisbane’s growth trajectory and increasing demand for large-scale, experience-led cultural destinations, particularly as the city builds toward the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The expansion begins this month with the opening of Fever Hub Brisbane in Fortitude Valley, a 1,800m2, three-level venue designed as a multi-format entertainment destination. The space will house two immersive cocktail concepts: Alcotraz: An Immersive Cocktail Experience, currently operating in Sydney and Melbourne, and Moonshine Saloon, launching in Brisbane as its first Australian and first-ever international location outside the UK. The venue will also feature a multi-content VR cultural space debuting with Horizon of Khufu, an immersive VR exploration of ancient Egypt, alongside a dedicated VR gaming floor.
In April, Fever will open Fever Skygate | Exhibition and Immersive Experience Centre at Brisbane Airport’s Skygate precinct. The 2,500m2 ‘black box’ venue has been purpose-built to host touring exhibitions and large-scale immersive experiences, launching with Dinos Alive (an interactive animatronic experience delivered in partnership with Exhibition Hub). The airport location is designed to attract both local and interstate visitors, expanding Brisbane’s cultural reach beyond the CBD.
The announcement follows several ‘pop-up’ live-entertainment experiences brought to Brisbane over the last three years, including Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience with IMG and Warner Brothers; The Art of Banksy in collaboration with Muse Entertainment, and the ‘Fever Original’ Dopamine Land, further cementing a growing presence in Brisbane’s retail and lifestyle precincts.
Fever APAC Originals Manager, Phil Mallet, said Brisbane has emerged as a priority market for global immersive formats. “We see Brisbane as a high-growth market and a natural entry point for international touring experiences looking to establish an Australian footprint,” he said. “By investing in permanent, scalable infrastructure, we’re creating long-term opportunities for property partners, precinct operators and global IP holders to activate space with proven, world-class concepts,”
Together, the developments represent a significant investment in Brisbane’s cultural infrastructure, supporting precinct activation in Fortitude Valley and the Airport corridor while expanding access to immersive art, interactive storytelling and international touring exhibitions.
